A leading Nordic logistics company wanted to integrate their system into Finnish e-invoice systems Achievements: I held sole responsibility for designing and implementing a service in Azure that integrates with all the major Finnish banks’ e-invoice systems and allows customers to view their bills online. Acting as a consultant, I was asked to transfer data from 20,000 machines into the cloud for visualisation and data analysis purposes. Achievements: Despite time and technical constraints, I quickly configured an SFTP-server in the cloud to input the raw data. I used Azure Functions to post-process the data in scale and deliver it into multiple channels. Working to create a web application for keeping track of vessel condition-monitoring data, I interviewed users of the old system and compiled new requirements and preliminary architecture. Led a team of five to rewrite the software suite used for thermochemical calculations. This was a multi-vendor project with geographically distributed teams. Achievements: I was relied upon to prove that we were able to handle this substantial project. I implemented the core logic of the heat loss calculation, including unit tests, in a time span that surpassed the customer’s expectations. The tests I devised were even able to spot bugs in the old code base. Due to the positive review of my work, we were given responsibility for numerous further applications. In a multi-vendor project for SAAS solution, where consumers can apply for loans, my team of four was responsible for the loan scoring system. Achievements: The loan scoring system I designed and implemented became the most important asset for the customer as it enabled the parameters to be changed without any development time. The overall design of the system also allowed us to completely automate the testing process. Junior developers were more productive because they could implement new features without needing to know the inner workings of the system.
